Description
Caribbean Cinemas is a movie exhibition company with some 420 screens operating exclusively in the Caribbean region of North America. It is headquartered in Puerto Rico but also has another office in the Dominican Republic which is its second most important market. It also has theatres in St. Thomas, St. Martin, St. Kitts, Antigua, Saint Lucia and Trinidad. With the exception of the Dominican Republic, the primary products are English language Hollywood based films, which are subtitled in Spanish where necessary. On a smaller scale, independent film has become an important programming component as well as live fees of opera and sporting events. In the Dominican Republic and Trinidad locally produced film and Bollywood pictures are shown.
