Badass PR is a full-service PR agency covering not only the Benelux, but also the UK, the USA, France and other countries. We're different 'cause we're BADASS!

Objective

Sometimes, people wonder what the difference is between PR and marketing. Whilst both approaches share a common ground, the way they try to reach their goals definitely differs. Ads have to be paid for, usually according to frequency, visibility and length. PR, however, enables you to network, inform the media and generate press for the service, individual, product or business that is being promoted. It doesn’t come attached with unexpected price tags and it’s far more transparent than marketing usually is, but our publicists will also be able to help you with advertisements and marketing whenever needed.   Let’s look at some of the objectives inherent in PR:   · PR ‘personalizes’ your business or product, giving it a recognizable face. · PR builds ‘brand consciousness’ and client or buyer loyalty. · PR broadens range and reach. · PR builds and nurtures media relations. · PR clarifies and stresses the difference between you and your competition. · PR generates press and articles that are—as many studies point out—far more believable and palpable than ads because of their greater objectivity. · PR consultants help you to set up or be present at conventions, festivals, shows, etc. · PR doesn’t cost much and in many countries, is tax deductible. · PR targets your target audience and considers general demand, but also helps you to find or create new target audiences and to heighten demand. Possible activities and goals:   · Stimulate ‘out of the box’ thinking. · Create and send press releases to a sizable database of journalists and, if needed, clients and/or possible buyers or distributors. · Keep track of answers, reactions and updates. · Take care of the communication with press, clients and buyers. · Set up brainstorming sessions to generate news and think of possible activities that will help to promote your product, person or business, collaborating with you every single step of the way. Oftentimes, it’s desirable to come up with initiatives that create news value, such as a symposium, the introduction of a new product or rare treatment, new innovations, demos, conventions, shows, logos, workshops, etc. · Try to set up regular columns or articles in papers, magazines, or on radio, television or the internet. · Ensure the availability of 1 or 2 publicists during conventions, shows and other events. · Create and possibly distribute press kits for journalists, containing info, statistics, bios, pictures, logos and/or contact details for your business, product or service. · Suggest relevant events or shows. · Look for possible partnerships or joint promo with businesses that complement but not fringe in on your business, product or service. For example: showbizz, TV, conventions… · Organize possible press and/or set visits. · Take care of possible blogs, social networking, viral marketing and more in order to inform people about news pertaining to your business, product or service.
