Arafura Studios creates bold and meaningful screen stories for global audiences. Founded by writer and filmmaker Jane Hampson, our work has won awards, garnered acclaim and touched hearts and minds around the world.
Objective
Currently financing TIGRESS, a feature film set in Sri Lanka and based on the true story of one of the first female fighters with the Tamil Tigers. The award-winning script has been developed with the support of Australian screen agencies and the Australian Writers' Guild, and as an Australian project qualifies for tax offsets and production incentives. Co-production partners benefit from these, including India following signing of new co-production treaty.
