Applause Entertainment Limited Taiwan Branch was established in 2003. Being a leading independent distributor, Applause Entertainment has remarkable achievements in the film industry in Taiwan. Box office success includes The Imitation Game, Hacksaw Ridge, Wonder, classic restored The Last Emperor, Taiwan film Go La La Go 2, The Great Buddha+, A Sun, Classmates Minus and recent success of Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and the Heron, and Abang Adik. Applause is the Taiwan distributor for Studio Ghibli since 2020.
Objective
Acquiring and distributing good quality films from Hollywood, Europe and Asia has been an important business for Applause Entertainment, with the mission of creating a new vision for Taiwan Film Industry.
