- Be born as a black woman and became powerful is a great achievement even today. Unfortunately, there are still too many signs of racism and inequality, and the fight for civil, familiar and working rights is still prevailing. However, there are a lot of black women who had break through all the racial and gender prejudice. And had been able to get over the obstacles that society has put in front of them, again and again. With great effort they have become directors, business managers, politicians, mediatic icons and, of course, social references.
  Nowadays, some of them control the world. They are women joined by having something in common: their gender, their racial condition and their huge influence on society. Also, they practice a distinguish kind of power, directed by their own values and sensibility that makes it different from any other. There was no other way, getting to the place they are now wasn’t easy and it is the proof that another way to act and think is possible.
