Norman Mailer’s The Armies of the Night ostensibly deals with the March on the Pentagon (the October 1967 anti-Vietnam War rally in Washington D.C.). Subtitled History as a Novel, Novel as History. The film to be directed by Academy Award nominated filmmaker Michael Epstein.

- Academy Award nominated filmmaker, Michael Epstein; Michael Mailer, President of Michael Mailer Films; and Stanley Buchthal of Dakota Group Ltd. have jointly announced today that they intend to make a film adaptation of Norman Mailer’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Armies of the Night. Spas Roussev, Chairman of the Norman Mailer Center, will Executive Produce. David Koh & Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment will be handling worldwide sales at the upcoming Cannes Film Market on behalf of the Producers.
