- Synopsis
- Jack is a wedding photographer in a sleepy northern English village who is about to marry his childhood sweetheart. One day Nina, a recent arrival from India, walks into his photography studio for an arranged marriage photo. Jack falls for Nina as he is taking her photo and their friendship blossoms into something more. He is now faced with the difficult decision of how to get himself out of his white wedding and into an Indian wedding. However, he soon discovers that polite manners and a good set of pearly whites are not enough to convince Nina’s parents and the community. In addition, he has to compete with some unrelenting rivals for Nina's hand. Jack figures in order to acquire the approval he needs he has to become more "Indian" and hires the local grocery shopkeeper to teach him how.
