- The human race has been destroyed by a catastrophe.
  Alba and Dídac are the only survivors. A teenager and a child.

  They must fight, at any cost, because they have an enormous responsibility. Alba and Dídac are the founders of a new human race. Their love will determine a new era.
  Based upon the second best-selling novel in Catalan literature, “Mecanoscrit del Segon Origen” by Manuel de Pedrolo, Second Origin is a stereoscopic film set in a post-apocalyptic environment.
  Second Origin begins where other productions end. It goes one step beyond in meeting the challenge of surviving and approaches the rebirth of humanity from the point of view of an adolescent girl.
  An adventure and science-fiction film which is also a great love story. The story of Alba and Dídac is that of two heroes who survive and must perpetuate the species. Thus, they become a legend and the parents of the Second Origin of mankind.
