    • Synopsis
    • The planet’s natural resources are running out at a critical pace, threatening human life. The State cruelly controls the scarce resources and manipulates the increasingly alienated lives of the remains of human society.
23-year-old Leo grew up as a guinea pig for the Regime, which kidnapped him as a child to use him in the development of neurochips. Today Leo is a brilliant young man, though somewhat cynical and of dubious morality, who hacks brain chips for the highest bidder; lately, he has worked a lot for immigrants who need to enter city-states because staying out means dying. But also, every once in a while Leo performs jobs for the Regime that goes after them.
Leo’s seeming neutrality blows up in his face when he discovers that the Resistance is not an invention of the Regime to justify its persecution of immigrants and dissidents—it’s real. And that’s not everything: the Resistance is led by his mother and his sister, who he thought had died when he was a child.
A traumatic and unresolved personal story. Strategic skills for a decisive fight. The alleged impartiality that can no longer serve as a hideout—how will Leo play his cards?
