    • Synopsis
    • Ben Cahill is an ambitious and confident young lawyer in New Orleans who is eager to take the next step in his career. Determined to make partner at his law firm to help support his wife, Charlotte, Ben will do the wrong things for the right reasons in order to win cases. Ben obtains evidence against Arthur Denning, a powerful pharmaceutical executive, and is awarded the case by the firm’s senior partner, David Abrams.

      Ben thinks he is on the top of the world and nothing could go wrong, but a mysterious ex-girlfriend from college, Emily Hines, reappears unexpectedly in his life and things start to take a turn for the worst. Emily is found dead in his bed. Ben quickly sees his life and career going downhill as he is drawn into a brutal murder case in which he is the main suspect. All the evidence points at him and there is no place to go. Ben must put his legal skills into practice to investigate what really happened to Emily and clear his name, all while being chased by the police.
