- Through a personal investigation of her niece, Mariana, the film recovers the life of “guerrillera” Iara Iavelberg, one of the most sought after targets of the Brazilian military dictatorship. The film dismantles the official version of the dictatorship, which attributes Iara’s death in Salvador in 1971 to a suicide.
