    • Synopsis
    • Gerald, a Diaspora-born Armenian actor reminisces about his life and his years together with his wife Nora as a traveling stage couple, performing a play about identity and belonging. The play within the film serves as a haunting parallel to their own lives and their feelings of marginality. Their tours bring them to Armenia at the brink of independence. At the decisive moment of truth, faced with the reality of an impoverished homeland, each one of them has to choose whether to stay or to leave.
The play is inspired from the real life tours of Gerald Papasian and Nora Armani with their widely acclaimed award-winning stage production: Sojourn at Ararat
