    • Synopsis
    • ‘LDK’ (‘Living/Dining/Kitchen’) is usually Japanese-English for a studio apartment. Here, though, the ‘L’ stands for ‘love’, and ‘DK’ for ‘dokyo’, or ‘living together’.
Aoi Nishimori is a high-school student, straight-talking and impulsive. Her father is despatched overseas for work, but Aoi is in preparation for university-entrance exams, and so she stays behind, living in an apartment near her school. Then Shusei Kugayama, the ‘handsome prince’ of her school, gets into some trouble there and moves in with her. If the other girls at school find out they will all hate her, and she will be expelled as well, so Aoi fights desperately to keep this arrangement a secret. Shusei, on the other hand, doesn’t really care if they are found out or not. Casually he hits on her, enjoying how flustered this makes her. At first she hates him for his nonchalance, but in the chaos of their life together she begins to see another, more attractive side. Gradually the distance between them narrows. But things become complicated with the appearance of Satsuki, Shusei’s old girlfriend, and Sanjo, a third-year student with feelings for Aoi. How will Aoi and Shusei’s secret ‘shack-up’ turn out?
