    • Synopsis
    • Kishta, a powerful breeder of bulls, lives in the year 257 in a heathen village along the Silk Road.
Having divorced the sterile Lele, Kishta weds Sheba.
Lele, his childhood love, remains his faithful mistress while Sheba bears him five beautiful children.
After the great banquet of the Spring Celebration, Lele is raped by a mysterious man, his face hidden behind a bull's mask. This attack appears to have all the hallmarks of vengeance.
Kishta then sets out on a merciless manhunt to find the trail of his mistress's rapist, but without any real success.
Three weeks after the attack, Lele realises that she is pregnant. Which for the entire village is an utter impossibility as her sterility has always been well known.
This is going to turn life in the village upside down:
Kishta - could he, this man so powerful, be sterile?
Sheba - if Kishta is indeed sterile who then is the father of her 5 children and why did she act in such a way?
Lele - she is at last expecting a baby, but this child is that also of her attacker. How will she cope with this situation?
In any event, each will have to put his or life into question.
