    • I chose to leave; now I have a reason for coming back.
Ashin grows up in a small town in Yilan. His family runs a fruit shop. Ashin is the most beloved one of his mother and is his little brother’s idol. At an early age, he joins the school gymnastic team. He trains hard in order to become a national level gymnast. However, he gradually loses his way to teenage rebellion. Ashin gives up gymnastics and becomes a street thug with his best friend, Pickle. When there’s a fight, he often uses the techniques he learned on the sports team to win.
The two boys accidentally anger the son of a gang boss. As Pickle struggles with drug addiction, problems start to snowball. They flee to Taipei where Pickle is brutally murdered. Alone in Taipei, Ashin has nothing but the words engraved in his mind “If you want to cry, do a handstand so the tears can’t run down your face.” Thus, his passion for gymnastics is rekindled and he gives it one more try…
