- Synopsis
- Yvonne, a tiny little 78 years old woman, widow for a long time but still full of energy, is getting back home from an opera. She suddenly hits the pavement and fractures the cervix of her femur. Her daughter Hélène has planned to travel to the U.S.A. and her son, Michel, is on his sailing ship.
  Right in the middle of the summer, she does not have much choice: she is going to join for her convalescence an old people’s home. Although she is warmly welcomed, she feels ill-at-ease and tries to escape, in vain. As days go by, she gets to know Fabio…
  Fabio is an alert gentleman, a former lawyer of Sicilian origin and widower like Yvonne. They are about the same age. He likes Yvonne’s smile, her frankness, her rebellious spirit… and her jealousy...
  They will fall in love and decide agains all odds to escape in Italy for a last romantic journey...
