- June 14th 1935. It's autumn, but the heat remains and does not seem to want to fade. In an isolated spot, in the countryside of Pargauaya, Candida and Ramon, a couple, aged small holders, wait for their son who left for the frontline in the Chaco war. They are also waiting for rain (that looks like it is coming but never does), for wind (which does not blow). they are waiting for the heat to dissipate (but it continues to beat downdespite the season), for the dog to stop barking (but she just carries on). Finally, they are waiting for better days. In between what was and what will be is this eternal moment of waiting.
