- Havana, Cuba, 2008.
  ERNESTO, 19, a charismatic, reckless hoodlum, never misses a chance to make a quick buck in the streets of Fidel Castro's Havana – the Havana that is about to step into oblivion. Ernesto indulges in everything from petty embezzlement to outright robbery of tourists, but his bread and butter is small-time pimping. An easy, brutal life, simple and carefree. The only things he takes seriously are his family (a drunk and useless father has left him the man of the house) and - out of vague, ingrained respect - the Cuban Revolution....
