- Synopsis
- In Japan they call this ‘the era of few children’; the nation’s birthrate is one of the lowest in the world. Yoko (Alisa Mizuki) is a woman resolved to pursue a career as a magazine editor who finds out she is pregnant the day after she is offered a publication of her own to run.
  Venturing timidly into a maternity clinic, Yoko encounters a variety of people: a teenage couple unversed in the ways of the world, an older woman who fears she is infertile, and a celebrity who visits in secret late one night. Harue (Yuki Matsushita), a pants-in-the-house-wearing, self-styled ‘veteran’ expecting her fourth child, takes the reluctant Yoko under her wing. Yoko faces a life-changing decision: her career, or her baby. Its father, the penniless photographer Tetsuya (Shosuke Tanihara), hurries back from Vietnam and, overjoyed at what their one-night stand has wrought, announces her condition to the entire office!
