Your partners do not have to search your company on Cinando any more - you can now get your own URL, and share it with them. It is the easiest way to promote your company. Ex: www.cinando.com/cinando

“My preferences” page on Cinando has now a new modern design. On this page you can choose to be notified by e-mail about: your private messages and requests, updates about films of your choice, new films available in the screening room and new films that match the specific criteria you want. It is up to you whether you wish to be notified daily, weekly or monthly. (If you have doubts about any function on “my preferences” page just, place the cursor on the green bubble next to it and a tip will appear to help you out.)

The trailers on film pages on Cinando start automatically but stay silent until you hover on it. This way the sound does not bother you if you are doing something else on the page.

If your subscription has expired you can still update your information. Even though you will not be able to consult the database but others can see your information, so use this function to keep in touch with your partners.

In the ‘films’ tab you can now search films by availability. It means that you can check the countries where films’ rights are available. This filter is particularly interesting for buyers research. Producers and sales agents, do not forget to fill in your films’ availability on your film pages so that it can be filtered in the search.

Only Interested in films shown in festivals? Now you can choose ‘from the festivals’ filter in the screening room tab to see only films from Cinando festivals lists. You can still search by country, language, genre or specific festivals.

You can now add the films you would like to watch in a queue list so you never forget them. (Click on ‘watch it later’ when you come across a film you are interested in and it will be automatically added to your ‘films to watch list’). Once you have watched films they are placed in your ‘watched list’ automatically. Also you can write your own private notes about films (even while watching them) and find them on the film pages and in the list called ‘notes’.

The Cinando screening room has become more modern and it is now more comfortable for you to choose and enjoy films. You can go from the Screening Room directly to the player without going on the film page.  Every film description is available by hovering over the film’s title. To make it easier for you to browse the films, the Screening Room now has two different viewing modes – image and list modes.

The photo gallery of film pages has been renewed entirely. It is easier to view pictures:  just pass from one to another without closing them.

My screening room tab is now the best way to manage your films and requests. It regroups all the films you have uploaded on Cinando, all the viewing requests you have received for them and the detailed viewing reports.

The new player now opens in a new page instead of a pop-up window. It has a black background designed for the best visual comfort. 

Target your community on Cinando: you can now put forward the original title of your film as the main title instead of the English one!

Cinando starts 2012 with a brand new design and layout! Logged-in or logged-out, you can discover the new features in the section “Re-introduce yourself to Cinando” on the home page.
News is now directly reachable on the home page in the section “Latest News”. You can write basic news (text) but also advanced news (add stills and documents) and share them on Facebook and Twitter.
Implementation and improvement of searching tools for films, people and companies: the Quick Search, the Database Finder and the Advanced Search. Please note the market filters no longer appear as tabs but are integrated in the Advanced Search blocks.
11 new film genre filters have been added to make your film search more relevant.
Results lists layout has been improved with pictograms (full movie, trailer, photo gallery).
New films and trailers are highlighted on the home page in the carousel “Now Available in the Screening Room” and in the section “New Trailers”.
Trailers now appear directly in the film page and are automatically played. A carousel of your uploaded films also appears in your company summary page.
A quicker and more efficient movie uploader has been implemented.
The line-up page has been redesigned: the line-up list can be sorted out by several criteria (title, director, country, year, status). Other elements inform about the film ((full movie, trailer, photo gallery, markets).
A new section “My account” allows you to easily manage your subscription and other premium services.
Now you can invite people to watch your films online in streaming and to download their own DVD-to-burn. This premium service is available in “My Account” where you can add credits online for this feature.

Many of you have dreamed of it, after the lists of films or people, you can now create list of companies (Companies tab, create a list)
You can be notified by daily or weekly emails when new films meet your criteria (Films tab)
In all the new lists (companies, people and films search), you can check the details without leaving the list.
You can now filter films by festivals or keywords (films tab), as well as in the screening room.
cinando is now on a new server and has migrated to the last OS versions. The performance has improved a lot.

Implementation of a completely new search page, which can be used to search for films, people, and companies. The next version will include a search by keyword.  
You can now upload trailers, using the same platform as the Screening Room. The trailers player has a progressive download feature.

When you enter a new acquisition, it gets automatically the data if the film already exists in the database.
From the film page, you can get directly additional info from the Cinema websites Screenrush / Allocine.
If you have films in the Screening Room, you can now download at once the viewers for all your films (in the Viewing Reports page, choose ‘Export for Excel: all your films’)

You must upload at least one still from your film before the full feature, it will be shown as a vignette of the film.
Be notified of new films available in the screening room by a daily or weekly email.
You no longer need to be logged in to access a link you received in an email notification.
The "staff" page is totally redesigned. You can now enter individual production credits. See the local time in the member's country on their page.

Now download the complete screening schedule in excel format in the ‘screening by date’ tab.

Screening Room: Depending on your bandwidth capability, watch films in standard or high definition; Rights owners: restrict viewing access by country; there are now more categories (distributors, sales companies, festivals) to manage the viewing rights.

See the history of past market attendance for both people and companies by clicking on the green plus sign (‘company’ and ‘staff’ pages).
Films available in the screening room are indicated by a black and orange arrow icon in the film results lists, in the company's line-up and library.
Entering film acquisition dates is now easier.
No more duplicates: double entries of the film’s country, genre, language and company country and activity are automatically deleted.

Mobile version 1.0
The mobile compatible version of Cinando for PDA, Blackberry and Android is launched. Very similar to the iPhone App, it gives you access to companies, people, films and screening times.

Invite people who are not Cinando members to watch a film in the screening room by emailing them a link valid for 24 hours.
For screenings of promo reels, you can now see the duration of the screening as well as the duration of the actual film.

Buyer activities are now easier to manage: companies in sales or distribution fields are given a ‘buyer’ status once approved by the Cinando college of experts. Then each company can designate the appropriate person as buyer. Each buyer must declare if they are acquiring for domestic distribution, international sales or both, if applicable. The company and its buyers are in the buyers’ listings. They can also access the screening room when rights owners select that category.

Now enter comments on any item (people or films) in your lists or when adding an item to any list.

Film search made easier: a new multi-criteria search page is created for films (Films/Beta search) which is much faster, more intuitive and more powerful than the existing technology. This is a preview of the new search philosophy to be launched before Cannes 2011.
